SHEKINAH OFFERS A UNIQUE, FULL SERVICE WEDDING VENUE LOCATED JUST 45 MINUTES FROM SASKATOON.

The Timber Lodge is one of Western Canada's largest timber frame buildings. Built using the timbers from an old grain elevator, the Timber Lodge not only has cultural and historical connections, it also requires very little in the way of decorating to help make your planning simpler.

Your ceremony can be performed indoors amongst the impressive timbers or outdoors in the amphitheater with a beautiful, rustic stonework stage as the focal point.

One of the advantages of Shekinah is that you don't have to rent a separate venue for your ceremony and reception. It can all happen in one beautiful facility. In addition, we have 17 bedrooms so that guests can stay overnight, after your wedding. This is a great option for Grandpa and Grandma, people who have driven long distances, and those who have danced long into the night.

We believe that your wedding is one of the most important days in your life; it should be shared with your friends, family, and other people that you love. The Timber Lodge at Shekinah is a space where you can reconnect and celebrate with each other in a beautiful, natural setting.

Shekinah has three options for your wedding:

  • Do-It-Yourself

    Do-It-Yourself package has you and your guests putting up decorations, chairs, and tables yourself and doing a basic clean up once your event is over. If you wish, we will allow outside catering. Please contact us for more information.

  • We-Do-It-Together

    We-Do-It-Together package has you and your guests putting up decorations, but we help by putting up / taking down chairs and tables. Depending on the timing of your wedding and reception, this can be a rushed part of your day. Let us take care of the heavy lifting for you.

  • We-Do-It-All-For-You

    We-Do-It-All-For-You package. Your job is to just show up and relax. Working closely with you, we'll help put together a package to make your perfect day happen as effortlessly as possible.

Whichever package you choose, we'll work with you to make your dream wedding happen!

In addition to your main banquet, we can take care of your rehearsal dinner, late-night lunches, brunches and whatever else you might need.

Alcohol is allowed in the Timber Lodge with a special event license from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. If you choose to have liquor on the premises, we require the license to be posted during the event.

Many of our wedding guests take advantage of the fact that the Timber Lodge can sleep up to 80 people comfortably. Some families are renting the Timber Lodge for an entire weekend and using the time to reconnect and enjoy each other's company.
